Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps

The Pleasantville Ambulance Corps (PVAC) is a group of volunteers totally committed to providing the communities of Thornwood and Pleasantville with the highest level of Basic Life Support care available. This service is provided free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are dependent on voluntary donations from the community to offset the enormous cost of providing high quality comprehensive emergency care. Donations can be made via PayPal by following the link below.

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

I am pleased to announce that on September 25th and 26th my son Aaron and I will once again be participating in the 2010 Westchester Triathlon in Rye, NY.  It will be our "2nd Annual 35 Mile Quest".  We will be participating in the race to raise money for the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps.  I will be participating in the Olympic Distance Triathlon on Sept 26th, which consists of a 1 mile swim in the Long Island Sound, a 25 mile bike followed by a 6.2 mile run.  Aaron, who is 10, will be competing in the Westchester Youth Triathlon on Sept. 25th, consisting of a 75 yard swim, a 2 mile bike followed by a 1 mile run.

The Pleasantville Ambulance Corps (PVAC) has been serving the communities of Thornwood and Pleasantville since 1951.  They are a group of decicated volunteers totally committed to providing the highest level of Basic Life Support care available.  The Pleasantville Ambulance Corps does not charge patients or their insurance companies.  Their service is provided free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!!  Through the availability of Advance Life Support which is the highest level of pre-hospital care and the standard for most of the United States, Pleasantville Ambulance Corps is able to bring the emergency room to the patient.

Please support our efforts and help us raise funds for an organization that has dedicated itself to our well being for almost 60 years!!

While we don't know what our times will be, one thing is for sure, we will finish the race.  We ask that you share in our commitment by making a donation to this important organization.  See you at the finish line...

Sincerely,
Aaron and Mitch Perl
